The Carolina Hurricanes are looking to bounce back from their lackluster 35-37-10 2009/10 record. GM Jim Rutherford and coach Paul Maurice have nothing but praise for their 18-year old rookie Jeff Skinner. Skinner had the sole shootout goal against the Minnesota Wild in Helsinki, Finland. In November, GM Jim Rutherford sent defenseman Anton Babchuk and RW Tom Kostopoulos to Calgary for defenseman Ian White and C Brett Sutter. The team has claimed W Troy Bodie and traded for Center Ryan Carter with the Anaheim Ducks.
